Folk music with Västanvinden trio

A trio with a very unique sound, Västanvinden trio performs swinging folk music suitable for dancing!

  • Västanvinden plays lively folk music that invites dancing and movement. With the combination of harmonica, clarinet, and cittern, the trio creates a unique sound that gives traditional tunes a fresh new expression. Their music is drawn from old sheet music collections and archival recordings, which the group interprets in their own distinctive way.

    The trio was formed at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, where all members study or have studied.
